The 2020 Fremont Arts Council’s Solstice Parade will be virtual, with anyone welcome to contribute a performance, interview, or story to the fabric of the completed video. The Arts Council also needs volunteers, to help with marketing, sponsorships, submission reviews, or making Green Hat videos.
Anyone interested in joining the Fremont Solstice Parade can submit a video, of no more than three minutes, of:
- a newly created performance
- a past film of a Parade ensemble or float
- a historic interview/story of the Parade
- footage about ‘what the Fremont Solstice Parade means to me’
Visit the Fremont Arts Council website (click here) to find the submission guidelines – and the link to the Virtual Event Submission Form. The deadline for submissions is June 1st, although early submissions will have higher priority.
AND, if you want to help promote, and/or find funding, for this greatest of all celebrations of public performance art and the longest day of the year, volunteers are needed! Lend your skills, talents or just enthusiasm for supporting the Fremont Solstice Parade – find out more about volunteering on the Fremont Arts Council website (click here,) or just e-mail volunteer@fremontartscouncil.org
