Open Call for Musicians at the Paul Frank ‘Academy of Awesome’

Live music performances by local musicians feature heavily in the Paul Frank 'Academy of Awesome' tour Photo provided by Paul Frank brand

On Friday, September 2nd, the Paul FrankAcademy of Awesome’ tour hits Fremont (Winnebago and all) and they need musicians!  Along with games, exhibits and contests (plus, the Puppy Prom!) the show includes a stage to showcase the incredible talent among local musicians, who can win the chance at exposure to a nation-wide audience.

Musicians can participate in the ‘Talent Show’ on the evening of Friday, September 2nd, by submitting a URL link or MP3 file of an original song as soon as possible.  Submissions will be voted on by visitors to the Academy of Awesome site.  Performers chosen will go before their audience, on September 2nd, and may win the opportunity to be a part of a soundtrack album to be assembled and sold on ITunes and through the Paul Frank webstore after the Academy tour concludes at the end of September 2011.

See official rules – and there are some! – on the Academy of Awesome website, and send them your best musical sample.  Then get ready to wow the crowds during the Fremont First Friday Art Walk, as the blue Winnebago brings Paul Frank fun to the Center of the Universe.
