This weekend, Saturday & Sunday, November 15th & 16th, NalandaWest will open its doors for a community celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Buddhist center. Come take part in the free, open-to-the-public celebrations, and learn more about what NalandaWest has to offer each of us, and our community as a whole.
‘Awake In Seattle’ will begin, on November 15th, with an open meditation session at NalandaWest at 9a.
At 10a, listen and participate in a panel discussion, co-moderated by Angela Russell of KIRO 7 Eyewitness News and Tyler Dewar, a senior teacher of Nalandabodhi, with representatives from three Buddhist traditions: Theravadin (Venerable Pannavati,) Mahayana (John Tarrant Roshi,) and Vajrayana (Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche.) Panelists will give experiential instruction from their lineage on meditation, and answer questions from the audience.

At 2p, take an experiential tour through the five fields of knowledge (Creativity & the Arts, Health & Well-Being, Communication, Knowledge & Reasoning, and Inner Science of Mind,) to get a taste of bringing a contemplative perspective to your life. Learn about the offerings of Nalandabodhi, the Buddhist community that headquarters at NalandaWest.
On November 16th, the celebration continues with another open session of meditation at 9a.
At 10:30a, NalandaWest will host another panel discussion – this one with senior teachers from Nalandabodhi talking about the contemplative study of mind and body available through this community. Hear from Mitra Tyler Dewar, Mitra Lee Worley, Mitra Mark Power, and Mitra Karl Brunnholzl.
