This Sunday, June 5th, kicks-off the 7th season of the annual Music In The Sculpture Garden concert series at History House (790 N. 34th St). These FREE concerts, featuring some of the Puget Sound’s best acoustic musicians, will be held weekly from 2p – 4p, in the covered courtyard of History House.
This week’s featured artists are:
- THE Other Band – billed as ‘Pop-folk with blues attitude’, these three singer-songwriters (James Nason, Kathe Davis, and Paul Sandoval, along with bassist David Pengra) provide powerful harmonies, always interesting and often moving lyrics and tight instrumentation on their all-original music.
- Hounds@Bay – consists of Jim Nason, Steve Peterson and Larry Baumgartner and was described by Peggy Sullivan, in a review in Victory Review, as “three men, three hats, three shades of howling and growling.” These three ‘hounds’ have one mission – to associate themselves with something that will make girls want to talk to them, to play guitar and to play the blues.
The series will continue with concerts every Sunday at 2p through June & July (except July 3rd.) To see the line-up, visit the website or check out their new Facebook page.
So, take a break from strolling the Sunday Market, enjoy a relaxing moment in the shade – or simply grab an opportunity to hear great music for free this Sunday at History House!
