Orchestra Seattle Offers Opportunities For More Music In October

For fans of Orchestra Seattle & the Seattle Chamber Singers (OSSCS,) there are a two free opportunities coming up in October for more fun and music.

On Wednesday, October 14th at 7p, join in for an evening of Zoom Trivia!  Pit your wits against Orchestra Seattle/Seattle Chamber Singers music director William White.  Play individually or in a team of 2 – 6 members.  Teams will be given time to confer, so they needn’t be in the same place, after each round – in their own private Zoom breakout rooms.  Brush up on your facts and get ready to name some tunes, with a prize offered to the winning team or individual.  Sign up, on a Google doc (click here,) to participate – and be sent the Zoom link.

On Friday, October 23rd at 7p, OSSCS will hold a Watch Party on YouTube for an encore performance of an April 2008 concert featuring Maestro George Shangrow at the podium.  Hear Orchestra Seattle play a secular oratorio, ‘The Seasons’ as composed by the 18th Century’s Joseph Haydn, with lyrics by Gottfried van Swieten.  Visit the OSSCS.org website (click here,) for a link (on Oct 23rd) to the event.
