On Saturday, November 11th at 7:30p, Orchestra Seattle & the Seattle Chamber Singers (OSSCS) present an evening of fine music with their show called, ‘Dvorak In America’, at First Free Methodist Church.
This performance includes:
- Comes Autumn Time by Leo Sowerby
- Hunting Chorus from ‘The Seasons’ by Joseph Haydn
- and Te Deum and Symphony Number 9 From The New World by Antonin Dvorak
The evening can begin with a pre-concert talk at 6:30p in the Fine Center Fireside Room. Learn more about the Czech composer Dvorak, who arrived in New York in 1892, bearing with him the score for his majestic ‘Te Deum’. During his stay, Dvorak composed his ‘New World Symphony’, which has rightfully gone on to become one of his most acclaimed works.
