This summer Talenti Gelato brings back another summer of fun, and Fremont Outdoor Movies! From July 12th – August 30th, enjoy movies on the big, brick screen, shown under the stars, at Phinney Ave N & N 35th St. The season line-up starts with three weeks of auteur director Wes Anderson, follows with a few 21+ only screenings, and features throughout cool treats from Talenti Gelato including free Gelato Pops, first-come, first serve, at some shows.
The season starts with a free screening on July 12th of ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’, rated PG-13, starring Danny Glover, Gene Hackman, Anjelica Huston, Bill Murray, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson, and Owen Wilson (who co-wrote the screenplay with director Wes Anderson.) Made in 2001, this ironic, absurdist film shows a family of child prodigies, now grown, and gathered together after learning that their estranged father is terminally ill.
See two more Anderson films – on July 19th, ‘The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou’, and on July 25th, ‘Rushmore’ – both starring Bill Murray. These quirky, underexposed films are worth seeing for their own sakes. Stick around later in the summer for more Murray, and the popular return of ‘Ghostbusters’ on August 16th.

As always, the Fremont Outdoor Movies are B.Y.O.C. – Bring Your Own Chair, or futon, blanket, couch, urban campsite, etc. Movies start at dusk. Bring friends, family and your own food and make an evening of it, in the parking lot at the Center of the Universe!
