This weekend, on Friday and Saturday, May 3rd & 4th, from 7p – 9p, Lunaria Dance Theater, joined by Caela Bailey & La Gaviota, will present ‘Over The Pop: A Cabaret’, an evening of fast-paced dance, comedy, song and theatrical fun. This one-of-a-kind cabaret will showcase the talents of this Seattle-based dance company, as they perform burlesque, showgirl, musical theater and comedy dance in Hale’s Palladium.
The Lunaria Dancers will be joined by Caela Bailey, a seductive chanteuse, and La Gaviota, the dancer and drag queen, bringing pizazz and sass to the show! Enjoy good clean fun with a lot of surprises. “My intention was to create light-hearted, classic entertainment with non-stop dancing, singing, and comedy – a fast-paced cabaret-style show,” said Mellilah, producer and director of ‘Over The Pop’, “where my guests could move about, socialize and have a drink! It’s classy, adult entertainment and unlike a traditional burlesque production, the clothes stay on.”
The Lunaria Dance Company is comprised of professional and award-winning dancers who collectively offer a diverse background in belly dance, theatre, ballet, ballroom, burlesque, tap, and jazz. Led by Melliah, a well-known professional belly dancer, Lunaria promises to provide audiences with the same excellent entertainment as seen in their previous sold-out shows ‘Moon Over Manhattan’ and ‘Oh, My Goldness’.
