On Friday, February 22nd, at 8p, Chapter VII of The Panel Jumper LIVE will bring a comic book-themed cabaret to West of Lenin theatre.
Celebrate the magic of sequential storytelling in comic books and graphic novels with this live performance of music, theater and interviews. Nerd culture is honored by an incredible line-up of local talent, including singer/songwriter Brittany Allyson, dancer Kendra Hayes, burlesque artist D’Nyall, and playwright Matt Smith. Chapter seven of Panel Jumper LIVE will feature special industry guest Ignatz Award-nominated cartoonist and Short Run Comix & Arts Festival Director Kelly Froh.
The Panel Jumper is a web series that explores the history and lore of comic books, in a quirky documentary-style that unearths the seldom-celebrated, colorful tales that draws people into this culture. Using a unique blend of humor and history, Cole Hornaday and Ben Laurance have created a lauded series that sparked this live action version co-produced by West of Lenin.
