On Friday, September 20th, from 9a – 7p, residents and employees around the City of Seattle will build temporary parks in street parking spaces as part of PARK(ing) Day! This annual, global project gives citizens an opportunity to reimagine how streets can be used.
In Fremont, two PARK(ing) Day Installations will be built:
- At Flying Apron Bakery, find Fremont Park at 3510 Fremont Ave N
- The Prince Tribute IV park returns, at 4134 – 1st Ave NW with dancing, music and costumes
In addition, the Ballard-Fremont Greenways will host a ride to visit the two Fremont parks, and two others in Ballard, starting at 5p at the ‘People Waiting for the Interurban’ and riding 5.6 hilly miles, to end at Hale’s Ales Brewery at approximately 6:30p.
