For the second year, Ricky Gene Powell will produce ‘Santa’s First Magical Ride: The Musical,’ and auditions are currently being scheduled for actors, dancers, singers and elfish types that want to celebrate the holidays by giving their talents to create a great show, and a new tradition. Performers will be reimbursed for their time.
With an original bluegrass soundtrack and clogging choreography, this new musical is based on the locally written, illustrated, and published book, ‘Santa’s First Magical Ride.’ Seattleites also created this show, which met a warm reception at premiere performances last year.
The production needs, and will be auditioning:
- Old Santa (adult male) acting only
- Young Santa (teens-20s male) acting, singing, dancing
- Elves (all ages, genders and ethnicities) acting, singing, dancing
- Evil Elf King Kril (adult male) acting and singing
Auditions will be held as soon as possible, and performers can get an appointment by sending an e-mail to serpentfeather@hotmail.com For the auditions, please have prepared a Christmas carol or show tune that can be sung comfortably a cappella. Performers should bring hard soled/character shoes and be prepared to dance, along with a headshot and resume. Reading will be done from the script.
Performers should be available for performances during the first three weeks of December. To find out more about the show, and to check in for performances this year, visit the ‘Santa’s First Magical Ride: The Musical’ on Facebook.
