The Seattle Public Library (SPL) system has launched its summer reading program for adults, in partnership with Seattle Arts & Lectures. Expand your reading selections in a fun and creative way, with Book Bingo!
Pick up a Book Bingo card from any SPL location, including the Fremont Branch Library, or print one from the SPL Summer Book Bingo website. Fill the card with the titles of books you will read during this summer, and when you’ve marked an entire row – or all 25 squares – submit the completed Book Bingo card at any library location, by mail to Seattle Arts & Lectures, or by posting a photo via Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Completed entries must be received by 5p on September 5th to be eligible for two different categories of prizes: blackout, or a completed horizontal, vertical or diagonal line.
Book Bingo categories can be: Washington State author, banned, author of color, read in one day, recommended by a young person, published the day your parent was born, etc. For custom-crafted recommendations, ask for help at an SPL library or fill out a brief form on the SPL Your Next 5 web page where one of Seattle’s expert librarians can recommend a personalized list of books for you to read.
