The City of Seattle has launched a new initiative, called ‘Housing Choices’, and they are asking for citizens who will take a 10 minute survey on what housing, and housing amenities, we most think needed and necessary for our use. Input on this survey will inform actions now, as well as longer-term recommendations to be presented in early 2020.
‘Housing Choices’ is a new effort to create more options, in more places, for more people. This effort will be coordinated with the work of the Affordable Middle-Income Housing Advisory Council, a new committee tasked with identifying ways to create more for-rent and for-sale homes for the middle-income wage earners.
Seattle aspires to be a welcoming city, where people of all backgrounds feel they belong and can build a stable and fulfilling life. The City has launched ‘Housing Choices’, a new initiative focused on expanding market-rate housing options. In addition to the survey, ‘Housing Choices’ will also host conversations with community groups, historically underrepresented communities and stakeholders.
