The Seattle Police Department and Seattle Fire Department are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect in the setting of arson fires in Fremont on Christmas Eve.

An arson fire set at 3:45a on December 24th caused devastating damage to three small businesses – Red Star Taco Bar, Sfingiday and Habitude.  Additional fires have also been set, including another behind Ounce of Prevention and Nectar Lounge at 4:15a the same morning.  All of these arsons have raised serious concerns about public safety, as long as the suspect remains unidentified.

Fires on the south side of the Lake Union Ship Canal caused damage last Fall, including closing the kitchen at the Seattle Elks.  A large arson fire at Gascoigne Lumber burned for a day, filled our neighborhood with smoke and caused more than $4 million in damage.  Police and fire investigators do not currently believe the fires are related, but any information provided by the public will only help in securing a safer community for us all.

Anyone with information about the arson suspect is asked by all our neighbors to please call 911, or the non-emergency number of 206-625-5011.
