The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) events committee has created a public survey to collect information on potential volunteers and attendees at the annual ‘Feast of the Winter Solstice’. Click here to find a link to the survey and to share your thoughts about how this celebration can return.
For those unfamiliar, the ‘Feast of the Winter Solstice’ is a party specifically for the FAC community. It is a potluck feast, as well as an art installation, spiritual gathering, and dance party. The Feast has grown as the size of the FAC community has grown, and it requires an extreme amount of volunteers to happen – with costs growing as well. (Read past Feast stories on Fremocentrist.com from 2013, 2012 and 1998.)
If you are interested in getting involved in making the Feast happen in 2018, or if you would like to see the event evolve into something easier for the FAC (and volunteers) to produce, please complete the survey (click here) and share your ideas with the planners! Also, tomorrow, on November 13th, at 7p, the FAC COW meeting, held at The Powerhouse, will be a brainstorming session about the 2018 Feast, on December 22nd, and everyone interested is invited.
