On Saturday, April 26th, from 11a – 3p, a volunteer work party will install four raised beds in the backyard of B.F. Day Elementary School. Volunteers are needed to measure, drill, and assemble the beds, and fill them with organic dirt.
Volunteers who come join the work party – and share in the excitement of making our school better for our children – will be fed. Any ‘extra’ volunteers will also be put to work, to beautify the rest of the B.F. Day grounds. Helpful B.F. Day students may, of course, attend.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend, to Ms. Carrie at cbauer@seattleschools.org or 252-6010. Remember – many hands make light work, and a community that cares for its youth will be cared for in return!
