This Sunday, June 26th, from 11a – 1p, the Seattle Department of Parks & Recreation has invited our community to give input on the design for the public land acquired by the City, in 2010, as an expansion of the A.B. Ernst (Slippery Slope) Park, next door to the Fremont Branch Library.
At the Fremont Sunday Market, meet Seattle Parks Planners and landscape architects from Site Workshop, and share your ideas for what we need done with this property. See the design options available, and give your input – along with the other visitors to the Market this Sunday.
The Park Expansion, located at 719 N 35th St, will be the park closest to the center of the Center of the Universe. Fremonsters need to tell Seattle Park staffers and architects what would most benefit our community, for now and into the future, at this site. Funding for the development of this park is provided by the Seattle Park District.
Please take time, even if only for a few minutes, to step into the Seattle Parks’ Open House Tent at the Sunday Market this week and share your ideas. Also, spread the word and help get others involved, by inviting others to the Open House, sharing the link to the Park Expansion survey, and participating in the Pinterest site hosted by Site Workshop.
