On Tuesday, November 8th, election ballots are due, by mail or in one of the many drop boxes by 8p, including the one closest to Fremont – in front of the Ballard Branch Library at 5614 – 22nd Ave NW. Please exercise your rights, as protected by the extraordinary men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces. Remember, our children’s futures depend on the decisions we make today.
This year’s election has drawn a lot of attention as the Presidential Race converted into a run-away, sensational media bonanza. However, the reality is that there are a lot of important decisions to be made, by every registered voter, locally and state-wide. Find a list of drop boxes on the Secretary of State website.
After the election, on November 8th, many people and places will be hosting parties – including our own Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar. On a big screen, they will be broadcasting the results, along with distributing prizes, offering all-day happy hour specials and two specially designed drinks – The Border Wall (tequila, tomato juice, lime juice, bitters, rimmed with crumbled Cheetos and garnished with a tiny hand-finger puppet,) and What E-Mails? (a shot of Noah’s Mill cask-strength bourbon, served with a rubber pencil eraser.) Find more details about The Barrel Thief party on their website.
