Politics & Safe Art Policies From The FNC & The FAC

On Monday, October 22nd, two Fremont community organizations offer two very different, but very educational and helpful evenings of information.

At the Powerhouse (3940 Fremont Ave N,) starting at 6:30p, the Fremont Arts Council will host Dave Wadell of the King County Local Hazardous Waste Management program for a FREE workshop on safe use and storage of art supplies.  Many of the most effective art supplies can be toxic in their application, or turn corrosive and/or flammable after being stored away.  Attend this open-to-the-public workshop to learn how to make safer choices in buying, using and storing even the most common supplies.  Please register on-line through Brown Paper Tickets to save your space at this vital workshop.

Down the road, at Doric Lodge #92, the Fremont Neighborhood Council invites everyone to an ‘Election Forum’ from 8p – 9:30p (after the third and final Presidential Candidate’s debate.)  The doors will open at 7:30p for this opportunity to hear from the candidates for State Representative for the 43rd District, Position #2, Frank Chopp and Kshama Sawant, and speakers on Referendum 74 from Washington United for Marriage and Preserve Marriage Washington.

Whichever way your interests lay, make sure you get out and get informed in Fremont next Monday, October 22nd!
