The Claret Wine Bar, on Stone Way, has hosted some very popular classes in fine wines, but now students can learn about, and indulge, in some sparkling grapes as well. Learn ‘All About Bubbles’ at Claret.
On Saturday afternoon, July 27th, at 3p, sample some special wines and learn about the world beyond champagne. Everyone knows that wonderful ‘POP’ sound, of a cork being shot from a bottle at a celebration (or just an idle Saturday afternoon,) with a fountain of bubbly wine flowing into a glass made ready for just this occasion – or a paper cup on the beach. What most people don’t realize is that the ‘POP’ can come from more than just champagne.
Learn about cava, prosecco, frizzante, Moscato d’Asti, vinho verde, Lambrusco, and spumante – and take a sip or two of a few different sparkling wines, for comparison. Celebrate the bubbles, and get to the bottom of this wine option…and a bottle of some of the happiest spirits around. Perhaps most importantly, find out about pairing sparkling wines with everything, including French fries and other celebratory cuisine.
Reserve a seat at this class for $25, and do so soon as Claret wine classes have been selling out fast! The cost covers healthy pours of multiple wines, a few bites from the Claret kitchen, and getting an education in sparkling wines. Find out more about Claret on the Heavy Restaurants website – and purchase a seat at the class on-line (click here.) Attendees will also be offered a special discount on bottles of the wines featured, for taking home and enjoying at a future celebration – or idle afternoon!
