Public Comment Still Sought On B.F. Day Playground Preferred Concept Plan

Until March 25th, the B.F. Day Elementary School Playground Project Team can accept public comment on the preferred concept plan for the playground improvements.  The drawings are provided here, and on the B.F. Day PTSA website.

The plan developed over three public meetings (November 30th, 2011, February 2nd, and March 7th, 2012) as well as through school assemblies and meetings with stakeholders and school staff.  The landscape architecture firm of Site Workshop helped develop the plan based on this input.

Any comments, and questions, can be directed to the Playground Project Team at bfdayplayground@gmail.com by March 25th, 2012.

On May 19th, a ‘Playground Open House’ will take place to allow volunteers to help clean up the grounds, and see what work will be needed to transform the existing playground into the vision seen in these drawings.  This spring and summer also expect to hear about fundraising efforts to fund phase one of these much needed improvements.
