Public Forum On Artistic Responsibility & Artistic Freedom

The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and the Seattle Repertory Theatre will host a public forum, on Monday, August 18th at 6:30p at the Seattle Rep, on Artistic Freedom & Artistic Responsibility.  With the support of the Seattle Office for Civil Rights and King County 4Culture, this free, collaborative conversation will cover art, race and cultural representation.

Art plays a vital role in society in general, and Fremont in particular.  Art can be a catalyst for dialogue and change.  Join this unusual opportunity for a respectful discussion on what an artist can do, and should do?  How do artists, and arts groups, approach their message in meaningful, relevant and equitable ways?

Reservations can be placed for this forum on Eventbright.com, and attendees may also submit questions or ideas for this conversation.  For those unable to attend, a video will be created of the discussion to be posted on-line in the days following.
