Public Open Spaces Now Accessible Northeast Of New Transfer Station

Today Seattle Public Utilities will re-open the Carr Place and Woodlawn Open Spaces to the public.

These Spaces are part of the remodel/rebuild of the North Seattle Transfer Station.  With that work done, the remaining property has been converted into open, public spaces – with a basketball hoop and benches coming soon for the sports court.

Recently, ADA work was done to make the space more accessible for all.  The Contractor will leave temporary barricades around the future hoop and benches.

As Spring arrives, check out the new public open space, and enjoy the out-of-doors in this newest green belt.  In addition, check out the playground built across N 35th Street on the former parking lot.
