Public Safety Survey – Please Respond!

An online survey, drafted by a team of graduate students at the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington, has been launched in late March 2011 with the support of Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn.  Seattle residents are encouraged to give their impressions about public safety, by neighborhood and on public transportation.

The survey can give a more accurate reading of the feelings of the general population of Seattle on the job being done by Seattle Police Department officers, but only if a large number of residents respond honestly to the questions being asked.

Evans School students will also deliver paper copies of the survey to targeted locations, and will actively solicit responses from traditionally underrepresented communities.  The results will be presented to the mayor by mid-May.

Please fill out the survey  – and encourage family, friends, and neighbors to do so as well by sharing the link.
