Whether you see yourself as an artist, or not, ‘The Artist’s Way’ by Julia Cameron can help you tap into your creative side, and benefit many areas of your life. The 2-hour a week, 12-week long class, takes students through the 12 chapters of ‘The Artist’s Way’, guiding them through chapter exercises and additional strategies. No matter how dormant or energized your creative life may be, ‘The Artist’s Way’ can build and grow previously unknown facets of your abilities.
“If someone asked me if they should take the class, I’d tell them if they were interested in changing, deepening and exploring a more creative side of themselves, this is absolutely the class for them.” – Jessica, an Artist’s Way alum
Through the Seattle Artist’s Way Center, two class sessions will be offered this spring. Starting Monday, May 2nd, from 6:30p – 8:30p, or starting Friday, May 6th, from 10:30a – 12:30p, seasoned instructor Kate Gavigan will lead students in exercises and lessons that will awaken and refresh their creativity, at Windows Art Gallery in Fremont. Gavigan not only teaches ‘The Artist’s Way,’ but she personally has experienced the benefits of the materials including how it awakened within her a passion for the arts and a career change.
“It was a great, life-changing experience and opened up my creative life – I feel that I am living in a more free, meaningful and creative way because of it. I would highly recommend the class.” – Jan N., Artist’s Way Student Fall 2014
The 12-week course costs $375, and runs into the summer – with breaks for the Memorial Day and Independence Day holidays. Find out more information through the Seattle Artist’s Way Center website, including how to register now to ‘tap into your creative side.’
