As follow up to a column (dated June 18) on June 26, 2010, the Rotary Club of Fremont held its 2nd Annual Center of the Universe Rock-Paper-Scissors World Championships at LTD Bar & Grill.
The event raised money for FamilyWorks, a local foodbank that helps feed kids in summertime who would otherwise eat at school. Thanks to donations from LTD, Pyramid Brewery and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, generous donations from area businesses of raffle items and the attendees, the event raised $1000 for FamilyWorks – and a lot of fun for participants and audience members alike!
