On Saturday, July 16th, from 11a – 2p, the Seattle Police Foundation have invited all those who live, work and play on Seattle’s waterways to enjoy a picnic with the Seattle Police Department Harbor Patrol. Come meet the officers, check out the station (located just west of Gas Works Park, at 1717 N. Northlake Pl) and learn more about the equipment and training that the Patrol use to keep us safe.
This picnic is the third in the annual Picnic At The Precincts series organized by the Police Foundation. Last week, North Seattle citizens enjoyed a picnic with the North Precinct – and ate up every one of the free ice cream sandwiches on-hand. This week expect extra rations laid in – of treats as well as hot dogs and drinks – plus a different crowd.
This is the first year the Foundation have taken the step to invite the public into the Harbor Patrol station, one of the least known, least understood divisions of the Seattle Police Department. Take this special opportunity to get to know more about the Harbor Patrol – and meet your neighbors – while enjoying a partying, picnic atmosphere with the Patrol!
