On June 16th and 17th, the Fremont Street Fair returns to create celebration and celebrate creativity all over our neighborhood. Mark your calendar and alert your friends and family to the opportunities coming to the Center of the Universe.
The Fremont Fair features the largest summer market in the city, with over 400 vendors – many selling handmade goods, crafts, art and more! Find lifestyle goods from 1.By.Liz and 3D Wood Maps, and art by 3Sevens Pottery and Artsplosion. Pick up some amazing jewelry from AnnxAnnx Design and Bemused Creations. Learn about non-profits like Bloodworks NW and the Northwest Animal Rights Network (NARN.) Of course, Fremont Baptist Church will return with the Orange Booth, but there will also be a lot of new, never-before-seen booths to explore and experience. With two stages, the Fremont Fair has a lot of live music and entertainment going on, much of it from local talent. Check out the line-up, as it currently stands, at FremontFair.com
The Fremont Fair also welcomes an assortment of buskers, performing impromptu street acts of music, magic, juggling, chalk art and who knows what else! Some buskers will appear on Saturday, and others on Sunday, so make sure you come out for both!
Fremont Fair weekend also includes other, associated events – and some not-so-associated. Check out the COLA (Citizens for Off-Leash Areas) Dog Parade through the Fairgrounds on Sunday, June 17th (Father’s Day) at 2:30p. The Seattle Art Car Blowout, in its 20th year, is on display at the Fair all day on Saturday and Sunday, but the cars do change… Finally, the Fremont Arts Council Fremont Solstice Parade, led off by the Solstice Cyclists, will parallel the Fair on Saturday, June 16th at 1p.
