This Fall, Fremocentrist once again brings family fun to Fremont with two modest, community-building events.
On Tuesday, October 31st from 3p – 6p, children in costume and accompanied by an adult are invited to stroll the neighborhood businesses, gathering treats. Trick-or-Treat in Fremont involves over 100 area businesses (see the official list and map by clicking on Trick-or-Treat on the masthead,) and we could use help getting the word out. If your favorite Fremont business isn’t signed up yet, remind them to e-mail instigator@box2219.temp.domains soon!
The first weekend in December, the 1st, 2nd & 3rd, Fremont Festivus returns! This three-day festival features plenty of fun, free activities of all kinds, including:
- Lenin Lighting returns at 5p on Friday, Dec 1st, with music by SeaTown Sound, games including Feats of Strength and the Airing of Grievances, prizes, snacks and Santa plus his elves will flip the switch to light up the dead dictator – and mark the start of the holiday shopping season! This all precedes the annual holiday focused Fremont First Friday Art Walk at 6p.
- On Saturday, Dec 2nd, area retailers and restaurants will take part in a Roaming Bazaar, inviting shoppers and looky-loos to stroll around, enjoying free entertainment and discount deals all around the town. The new UW Medicine NW Primary & Specialty Care Clinic will hold an Open House with information and gift bags.
- On Sunday, Dec 3rd, the Fremont Sunday Market offers further entertainment and holiday hoopla – plus great gift items – from 11a – 4p.
