On Sunday, November 8th, from 10a – 4p, Oohla’s In Fremont Salon & Gallery will be open to raise money for The F-Factor. All day, clients can get haircuts, color and other services – and the money paid goes directly to the work of The F-Factor.
The F-Factor, chosen as this year’s charity by Oohla’s staff, utilizes fashion as a tool to build self-confidence in foster children and abandoned youth. Through Fashion Workshops, children are taught to use fashion for self-expression, to define individuality, and build self-confidence. They are also given access to brand new clothes, shoes and accessories, and to engage in group exercises and creative projects, all using verbal and non-verbal communication, and positive affirmations.
Help the kids by scheduling an appointment now for a quality haircut, or color, and participating in this day of caring and giving.
Also, a little over a week remains to contribute to the collection of warm winter coats at The Sweet Spot Sugaring Studio. The 3rd Annual Coat Drive ends on the day before Charity Day at Oohla’s – November 7th. Clean out your closet, drop off your coats then treat yourself to a beauty treatment for the kids!
Schedule now to get an appointment at Oohla’s, at 206/547-6743. And find out more about the Coat Drive at The Sweet Spot website, or in an October 2015 Fremocentrist.com column.
