On Saturday, October 12th, from 2p – 5:30p, Seattle Made will focus on Fremont, and the artisanal production spaces that make a large part of our commercial area.  ‘A Tour of Fremont Production Spaces!’ will take attendees behind-the-scenes at three specific locations, while talking about operating these small, independent businesses in Seattle.

The Tour starts at Pellington Village, a collection of makers and small shops, where welding, woodworking and other skilled crafts are practiced.  Jesse of Conduit Coffee will let attendees get hands-on with the coffee roasting process.  From Pellington, the tour travels to the most delicious manufacturer in Fremont – our organic, fair trade Theo Chocolate factory.

In one hour, learn how Theo goes from bean to bar, and how this business started in Fremont and spread world-wide with a brand now synonymous with high-quality, and high-ethical standards.  Finally, the tour concludes at Fremont Brewing, our family-owned, craft brewery, where all ages can hear about this little-brewery-that-can create beer with local ingredients and attention to artisanal methods.

This educational, and edifying, Tour will include some free samples – although only those 21+ (with ID) will be given a pint of Fremont Brew.  General admission costs $20, with children ages 6 and under getting in for $5.  Purchase admission in advance on Stranger Tickets (click here.)  Learn more about Seattle Made, and other events highlighting the ingenuity of the Emerald City at SeattleMade.org
