Seattle Parks’ Art In Parks Grant Applications Now Being Accepted

The next round of Arts in Parks (AIP) grant applications has been opened by the Seattle Department of Parks & Recreation and the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture. The deadline for applications to this program, intended as outreach to underserved communities, is October 19^th, 2016. Individual artists, neighborhood arts councils and local community-based groups are invited to apply for these grants, funded by the Seattle Park District.

AIP grants can be used for temporary art installations, artistic performances, festivals and other events in Seattle public parks, especially for underserved, immigrant, and refugee communities. Groups that apply need not be 501(c)3 non-profits, nor are they required to use a fiscal agent. Funding support ranges from $1,200 to $7,200. The Fremont Arts Council Luminata Lantern Walk, on September 21^st, is one of the AIP funded projects.

All application projects must have a significant arts & culture component, and be free and open to the general public.
