On Saturday, January 11th, the Central Seattle Public Library, at 1000 Fourth Avenue in Downtown Seattle, will welcome Seahawks fans looking for a new, family friendly place to watch the all-important playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints.  In the Central Library Microsoft Auditorium, the free, first-come-first-served seating will open at 1p.

If library patrons hear screaming and shouting, “you won’t need to call security,” City Librarian Marcellus Turner said, as he acknowledged that it, “may get a little noisy.  We thought it would be fun to have the game on for our patrons, particularly those who don’t have ready access to television.”  He added that, “no one will be shushed,” for cheering.

The Seattle Public Library will also be offering football-shaped cookies and distributing a limited-number of free Seahawks promotional items.  Library staff members will also be getting in the spirit as they are encouraged to wear their Seahawks jerseys.

If you need more information, call the library at 206/386-4636.
