On August 6th, from 10a – 4p, at Meridian Park in Wallingford, check out local food & urban farming offerings at Seattle Tilth’s Annual Harvest Fair. Described as a country fair in the city, the Harvest Fair brings together the best of Seattle celebrations: tasty local food, live music, a farmer’s market, and meeting others who share your love of urban farming and sustainable gardening.
Co-presented with PCC Natural Markets, this free, family-friendly event (donations will be accepted at the entrances,) also features the Central Co-op Cider Press, goats and chickens to cuddle, and a chance to make an aromatic herb crown. Learn new cooking and gardening skills in the demonstration tent. Stock up on ripe produce available to purchase direct from farmers. Also check out vendors selling native and edible plants, garden supplies and one-of-a-kind hand-made goods.
Stop by for a look – or the whole day! Find more details about the Seattle Tilth Harvest Fair on-line, or wander over and see it for yourself on August 6th!
