On Monday, July 4th, the North Seattle Transfer Station – located on North 35th Street east of Stone Way – will be closed for all services. The South Seattle Recycling & Disposal Station, in the South Park neighborhood, will be open regular business hours (from 8a – 5:30p,) however. The closure of the North Transfer Station (a.k.a. The Dump) will hopefully lessen the traffic pressure in that area caused by an expected increase in visitors and street closures due to the 4th of July celebration planned for nearby Gas Works Park.
Seattle garbage, food & yard waste, and recycling collections will be on normal schedule on Monday, July 4th, a Federal holiday. Those customers who do not have their refuse collected may report a missed garbage, yard waste and/or recycling pick-up after 6p on the day missed by calling 206/684-3000, or using the on-line missed collection form.
