On Thursday, February 2nd, from 6p – 8p, the 2nd Community Workshop will take place in the B.F. Day Elementary School Library, to gather input from residents, parents, kids, staff and business people of Fremont about improvements to the playground.
This will be the second of three chances for the Fremont community to come together and share our individual visions of what we see for our playground, and at our school. The best playground will bring together all the creative, considered and community-inspired ideas to influence the final design.
Come share your ideas, and see draft designs based on input gathered at the first community workshop held in November 2011. Site Workshop has facilitated the workshops, and will create a final design based on input gathered at these public gatherings. The effort to get a final design comes from the determination of a few parents and staff at the school, and a generous grant from the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Matching Fund.
The public is encouraged to come and give suggestions, to create a playground for all to enjoy!
