For those who wish to celebrate the New Year without wandering far from the Center of the Universe, check out this variety of options still available.
While New Year’s Eve at the Backdoor @ Roxy’s has sold out, another delicious dining option is available at Ponti Seafood Grill. On Saturday, December 31st, the restaurant has created a special 5-course menu being served between 5p and midnight. Selections range among the amuse bouche appetizers (including oysters, duck confiti, won tons, or foie gras,) a lobster bisque, Asian pear-chicory salad, and entrée (including wild Alaskan king salmon, ahi nori roll, or breast of duck. Ponti also offers two dessert options – a Callebaut bittersweet chocolate terrine or a Bartlett pear tarte tatin. The meal costs $70 per person (excludes beverages, tax & gratuity.) For a more musical evening, consider dropping in at the High Dive to hear Ian McFeron and The Fortune Dwellers. The show will start at 9p, and go all night! Tickets, on Brown Paper Tickets, are $20 in advance, and $25 at the door. Find out more on the High Dive website.
More music can be heard two doors down at The White Rabbit. Hear The Yadda Yadda Blues Band and McTuff rock in the New Year with a funk, soul, blues vibe, either as general admission ($8) or a reserved table option ($100) that includes four tickets and a champagne toast at midnight.
