On Saturday, June 16th, at 1p, the Fremont Solstice Parade, as produced by the Fremont Arts Council, brings art, music and dance to the streets of the Center of the Universe.
Among the outrageous and awesome installations of art in the Parade, look for the VAM Studios School of Dance ensemble, sporting bowler hats and canes, with the dancers painted similarly.
Doing a mix of jazz and contemporary movement, with body percussion, the troop will incorporate audience participation.
Additionally, VAM will have a booth (#F4) in the Fremont Street Fair, on N 34th St, between the Fremont Starbucks and PCC Natural Market.
At the booth they will offer free mini-classes including tap dance demonstrations. VAM will also feature demos by Encarnacion ‘La Paloma’ Muñoz doing flamenco.
The Fremont Street Fair and the Fremont Solstice Parade celebrate the culture of our community through our favorite form of expression – art!
Come support those involved in this unique, legendary weekend, while we all party-hardy!
