Fremocentrist.com has heard that nearly 50 art cars, the ones on display during the Fremont Fair as the Seattle Art Car Blowout, will meet at Macrina Bakery (1943 First Avenue South) on Sunday morning, June 19th, for donut jousting and a truly Seattle experience – coffee – for those art car-ists visiting from across the U.S. and Canada.
At the end of their field trip, the cars will journey back to the Fremont Fair, starting at 10a. Find yourself at one of these locations, and get a peek:
- The Alaskan Way Viaduct
- In front of EMP/Ride The Ducks
- Queen Anne Avenue, from the counter-balance to West McGraw Street
- Seattle Pacific University – at Bertona
- The Fremont Bridge
For those who plan to enjoy a Sunday morning at the Fremont Fair (especially for those with dads and/or dogs) the best place to see the cars will be at the main entrance of the Fair – at Fremont Ave N and N 34th Street, just before 11a.
All the art cars will be in position on the fairgrounds by 11a, for the grand display. This will be the last chance to see these outrageous automotive creations, and speak with some of the creative minds behind their wheels – at least until the next SACBO!
