A star-studded (and Pie delight) of a roll-out took place at History House on July 17th, as the City of Seattle Office of Economic Development and Mayor Mike McGinn showed off a new promotional program called ‘Only In Seattle.’
On Sunday, July 29th, 2012, the Fremont business district will become the first Seattle neighborhood to be featured with coupons and special offers available from 14 area businesses – good for one-day only. Expect to hear about similar Only In Seattle Sunday specials for other neighborhoods, with Pioneer Square in August and Wallingford in September!
A visit to the Only In Seattle.org website gives information on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, and features four Fremont businesses: Evo, Book Larder, Bitters Co., and Pie. Those little pies. This writer must confess, the little cherry pies may have been the best part of the rollout (and to make sure, I sampled nearly a dozen.) The rollout also had Peet’s Coffee, and coverage from KING, KIRO and KOMO – learn more on the KOMO video clip of the rollout ceremony.
