October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Solid Ground’s Broadview Shelter & Transitional Housing team has guidance in this time when violence and abuse in families is on the rise.
Domestic Violence can affect people from all walks of life, regardless of age, sexual orientation, socio-economic statues, and culture. Right now, economic stress, isolation and other difficulties related to the pandemic have created a rise in need for support for Domestic Violence survivors.
The team at the Broadview Shelter has posted resources for helping to identify and respond to Domestic Violence. They have articles about educating children, and guiding those who need to escape from an abusive relationship. Check out this set of Blog Posts on the Solid-Ground.org website (click here.)
