The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) needs community help to find space where they can store materials and float bases between their annual Solstice Parades. They need a 40’ x 40’ space of land – or warehouse – that they can use for free or minimal rent.
For years, the FAC has used accessory spaces around the neighborhood for storing the float bases and other materials, leaving space in its primary workshop – the Powerhouse – for creating and building art.
After its last space was lost to make way for a new development, the FAC took temporary space that will expire in December of this year. If the space is lost, the FAC may have to get rid of precious materials vital to producing the Solstice Parade.
If you have space, or a lead on space, where either all the materials – or just a single float base – can be stored, please contact the FAC at 206/547-7440 or arts@fremontartscouncil.org
