As part of its experimental, progressive Circumbendibus series, the well-regarded Book-It has brought a collection of stories, by Denis Johnson, called ‘Jesus’ Son’ to the black box theater in Fremont.  Hailed as one of the best American books of the 20th century, ‘Jesus’ Son’ gave adapter Jeff Schwager and director Josh Aaseng raw, poetic prose with which to share the story of a dreamer/addict/lost soul as he spirals through tragedy and grief to reach an opportunity for redemption.

Read more about this production, and what brought it to Fremont, in the Fremocentrist.com column from November 4th.  Also, visit the Book-It Facebook page to see new images from this production.

Don’t miss this great opportunity for high-quality, live theater at the Center of the Universe – offered at a screaming deal!
