Library cardholders may use the Seattle Public Library (SPL) Museum Pass program during these days of school and work vacations to gain free admission to over a dozen partner venues around Seattle.
Recently, the SPL announced the addition of Seattle Public Theater and Seattle Architecture Foundation Tours to the program. Library cardholders, in good standing, can reserve a free pass to one of the now eighteen participating museums, once every 30 days – although each cardholder can use one pass per week. All passes grant entrance to two people, with some including free admission to all children ages 17 and under.
Reserve a pass on-line, without visiting a SPL branch library. Visit SPL.org/museumpass with a cardholder number, PIN number, chosen location, and the specific date of your visit to print a museum pass. Read more details on the SPL museum pass page.
Sponsored by the Seattle Public Library Foundation, sixteen other museums participating in the program are:
- The Burke Museum
- Center for Wooden Boats
- MoPop (formerly The EMP Museum) The Museum Of Popular Culture
- Henry Art Gallery
- The Living Computer Museum
- The Log House Museum
- The Museum Of Flight
- MOHAI (Museum of History & Industry)
- The Nordic Heritage Museum
- The Northwest African-American Museum
- Seattle Art Museum
