The Seattle Public Library offers numerous opportunities and benefits to cardholders, and one of the lesser known is free admission passes to 16 Seattle area museums and cultural organizations. Woodland Park Zoo has just been added to the generous list of locations that Library cardholders can access, and our Zoo is the largest ticketing partnership now in the Museum Pass program.
Fifty passes to the zoo will be available, per day, allowing four people to access the grounds for free, with one pass. Founded in 1899, the Woodland Park Zoo features more than 1,200 animals, and is a leader in conservation and education programs.
Cardholders can reserve a free Museum Pass, to the Zoo or another location, once per week. Each Museum Pass provides admission for at least two adults. The program reservation system requires a Library card number and personal identification number (PIN).
Participating organizations in the Museum Pass program, beyond the Zoo, include:
- The Burke Museum
- The Center for Wooden Boats
- Flying Heritage Collection
- Henry Art Gallery
- Living Computers: Museum + Lab
- The Log House Museum
- MoPOP (formerly EMP)
- Museum of Flight
- Museum of History & Industry
- Nordic Heritage Museum
- Northwest African American Museum
- Seattle Art Museum
- Seattle Aquarium
- Seattle Public Theater
- Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience
