On Friday, January 5th, from 6p – 9p, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk takes its monthly stroll around shops, galleries and restaurants at the Center of the Universe. January can be cold and dark, so why not brighten an evening by venturing out for culture and color?
Two featured venues are:
- Portage Bay Goods – See the art of the very talented (and gorgeous, of course) ladies of the PBG! The staff at Portage Bay are amazingly creative, and during this FFF, we can see the photography, knitwear, glasswork and more that they’ve created. See in 2018 with new works by new artists! And, for those over 21, there will be wine!
- Frame-Up Studios – On this Blue Friday, see original art by Brittany Hunt, in the inspirational gallery of Fremont’s oldest operating retailer. A local artist, Hunt lives her creativity in many forms, especially through painting, art direction, and graphic design, putting her inspirations into color and nature. Her show at Frame-Up is themed ‘Blue Friday,’ giving nods to our sports team, alongside literal blue art and art inspired by feeling blue.
Find out about the Fremont First Friday Art Walk on the Facebook page, about other venues and artists displaying – on January 5th and throughout the month! The Fremont First Friday Art Walk offers an opportunity to explore our business district, every month, to find out the new discoveries and latest offerings.
Also consider checking out the Fremont Third Thursday, for discounts and deals at area shops and boutiques, taking place next on January 18th.
