On Friday, March 17th, at 8p, the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, Jesca Hoop will perform works from her new album, ‘Memories Are Now.’ Featuring breathless depth and staggering thoughts and memories, the album, released on Sub Pop Records, contains on-spot bass, strings, and vocals.
“It’s still covered in embryonic fluid, for lack of a better way to put it,” Hoop said regarding the album, “The recordings are quite raw, human, and sparse, even unsettling. What I like to call quick fire recording forces you to work in an incredibly focused and instinctive type of way, no second guessing.”
