On Sunday, October 11th, dust off, polish up and put on those Beatle boots to join Dusty Strings’ multi-instrumentalist Dan Kahane for a fun-filled acoustic romp. From 12:15p – 2:15p, join in a jam to Beatle’s favorites, in the style of country music.
Depending on who shows up, and with what instruments (bring your fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, bass or soprano trumpet) join in to sing and play on special, on-the-fly arrangements of ‘I’ve Just Seen A Face,’ ‘Act Naturally,’ ‘I Don’t Want To Spoil The Party,’ ‘Norwegian Wood,’ and ‘Yellow Submarine,’ and more… Using the Charles River Valley Boys’ seminal recording ‘Beatle Country,’ as a launching pad, this instructive jam session is open to all levels but is best-suited for intermediate and beyond.
Cost is $35, and registration can be done on-line or in-person at Dusty Strings. Visit Dusty Strings’ website to find out more about this class, and other learning opportunities at Fremont’s iconic music school.
