On Saturday, June 22nd, at 1p, The Evanstones will kick-off the Fremont Arts Council Celebration at Gas Works Park, playing live music as the start of fun, frolicsome afternoon.
One dose of The Evanstones reportedly will meet all the USDA recommendations for irony for a full 24 hours… or at least satisfy a lust for it. Rampant speculation holds that The Evanstones came to earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal monkey men, and legend stands that this local band will bring its audience out of a stinking pit of depravity into a sunny, summer Solstice. After The Evanstones, stick around Gas Works for more live music, dancing, mischief, games, mayhem and, yes, painted cyclists. The Fremont Arts Council will Celebrate the Solstice all afternoon and evening, leading the Fremont Solstice Parade into the park – bringing art and creativity to the season. Join in the fun!
