At the end of October, Tableau Foundation announced the beneficiaries of their generous Community Grants Program for 2015. In addition to non-profits in Austin, Texas and Kirkland, Washington, Tableau Foundation, an initiative of Tableau Software, one of the largest and fastest growing software companies in our community, has granted funds to eleven recipients doing work in Fremont.
The recipients for the 2015 Community Grants in Fremont are:
- City Fruit
- Seattle Against Slavery
- FamilyWorks
- Seattle Public Library Foundation
- Solid Ground
- Fremont Abbey Arts Center
- Girls On The Run Puget Sound
- Wallingford Boys & Girls Club
- Literacy Source
- Woodland Park Zoo
- Puget Soundkeeper Alliance
This list reflects the work of a team of Tableau employees, most of them from Fremont, and these were selected as recipients that balance the best match between local needs and Tableau resources. The grant funds gifted range from $2,500 – $15,000, and are intended to support the general operations of these organizations.
“This was our inaugural grant cycle, and we are so thankful to the community members who helped us define and refine this process,” acknowledged Tableau Foundation Director Neal Myrick, “a huge credit goes to our Tableau employees who volunteered their time and energy to make this program a success.”
